The Republican and Democratic nominees for lieutenant governor in Tuesday's runoff elections have been decided.

In the Republican runoff, Greg Dolezal defeated John F. Kennedy to win the party's nomination.

Dolezal received 329,435 votes or 54.16%, while Kennedy received 278,788 votes or 45.84%. 

In the Democratic runoff, Josh McLaurin defeated Nabilah Parkes to secure the party's nomination.

Based on unofficial results, McLaurin garnered 171,070 votes, representing 54.80% of the total, while Parkes captured 141,099 votes, or 45.20%.

Both winners will advance to the November general election, where voters will choose Georgia's next lieutenant governor.
