The Habersham County Health Department will be holding two separate Back-to-School Immunization Clinics ahead of the 2026-27 school year.
During the clinics on July 11 and Aug. 1, the department will be providing required vaccinations for rising kindergarteners, seventh graders and 11th graders. Immunizations and screenings are required in order for students to start those grade levels.
Kindergarten students must be up to date on all childhood vaccines by the first day of school. Seventh-grade students must receive one dose each of the Tdap and meningococcal vaccines, while 11th-grade students must receive a meningococcal booster after their 16th birthday and before the first day of school.
Both clinics will be held between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The health department is located in Demorest at 185 Scoggins Drive.
According to the department, most major insurances are accepted, and self-pay options are available for the vaccinations.
