The Gwinnett County Police Department confirmed Wednesday that the shooting happened last Friday, May 22, at the Moonshiners Bar on Moon Road near Grayson. Gwinnett Police Cpl. Ryan Winderweedle said the shooting was the result of an argument that had spilled into the business' parking lot.

"The suspect, Steven Tredell Brown, fired a handgun back towards the business, hitting an innocent person not involved in the argument," Winderweedle said.

The status of the person who was shot has not been released.

Brown, age 34, was arrested on charges including aggravated assault and aggravated battery. As of Wednesday, May 27, he remained in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
