The Gwinnett County Police Department said the shooting happened at a home on Milltown Court off of Old Oaks Road on May 5. No injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident.

"Following the shooting, investigators were able to identify a suspect, 19-year-old John Ikechkwu Osefo, and an address associated with him," a statement from the police department said. "A Glock handgun with a modified 'switch' attached was located. This device turns a handgun into a semi-automatic machine gun."

Police said illegal narcotics were also found in the home.

Osefo was arrested on Monday, June 8, and faces charges including aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, possession and use of an illegal machine gun, and possession of illegal drugs with intent to distribute. Police say gang charges are also expected to follow, pending a further investigation.
