A domestic incident in Hart County reportedly led to a pursuit and subsequent arrest Sunday night.
The Hart County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that deputies responded to a residence on Forest Circle in Hartwell on Sunday, May, 31, regarding a physical domestic violence incident at around 8 p.m.
While responding, deputies received a report that the suspect, later identified as Jamie Terrell Odister, 32, had left the scene in a white Ford Crown Victoria and was traveling on New Prospect Road.
Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. Odister allegedly refused to stop, leading authorities on a pursuit.
The chase reportedly ended at a residence on Tanglewood Lane, where Odister exited the vehicle and fled on foot. He was subsequently taken into custody without further incident, according to the agency.
Odister was charged with battery – family violence and felony fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement.
